Embedded Measurement

  • Wireless sensors for embedded measurement

You are a rolling stock, naval & aeronautic manufacturer and wish to significantly reduce your costs related to test benching. BeanAir products perfectly answer to your needs in terms of embedded measurement:

    • Automotive: tests on raceway and dirt track, wind tunnel testing, laboratory test benching
    • Railway: Field measurement campaigns during maintenance phase. Automatic fault detection on sensitive device and systems
    • Aeronautic: Comfort measurement, engine, fuselage, wings and cabin test benching.
    • Naval equipment: Tracking, monitoring, surveillance, underwater test benching, engine room monitoring

BeanAir has designed a new family of "hardened" miniaturized wireless measurement products adapted to harsh environments.
Thanks to a bandwidth than can go up to maximum 5 KHz (in mono-channel), the dynamic measurement is now available on wireless technology:

    • Analog-Signal data acquisition system (amplified tension or 4-20 mA)
    • Deformation/ Distortion measurement on mechanical device
    • Infrared temperature measurement (non intrusive)
    • Impulsion measurements, (on/off signals)
    • Temperature & humidity monitoring
  • At last a measurement technology suited for embedded measurement

    Reduce your cabling costs.

The cabling cost is becoming more and more important in embedded device and equipment. The cost of integration, maintenance as well as the cabling weight induce non negligible constraints that can be more costly than the price of cabling alone. BeanAir offers you to slash these costs by choosing a wireless instrumentation.

A radio transmission that is optimized for harsh industrial environment.

While the vast majority of wireless measurement systems show their limits in harsh industrial environment, BeanAir has designed an innovative concept based on antenna diversity allowing to optimize the radio link quality in environments subject to random and diverse disturbance.

Hardened and miniaturised wireless measurement products.

Areas that had been inaccessible to wired measurement instruments are now at reach thanks to hardened miniaturised wireless measurement device (IP66 enclosure & 30G shock resistant)

Geographically locate your measurement events thanks to GPS geolocation.

Whether you intend to manage your fleet of vehicles or simply proceed to measurement and testing, you will need to localise your sensors, components and alarms. The combination of WSN Technology with the GPS allows you to link measurement events to geo-location.

A monitoring software designed to match your needs and blend into your IT infrastructure.

The BeanScape® is a real time supervision and moitoring system that allows you to view and manage in real time the BeanAir® wireless sensor network. The BeanScape® is also equipped with an expert system allowing to view and interpret elements such as measurement or network alarms. The BeanScape® integrates an OPC server allowing it to blend into your IT system. Most engineering platform tools (MatLab, LabView, WinDev,…) integrate an OPC client.

  • Use case: The concept of a « Plug & Drive » laboratory vehicle

BeanAir® and its partner Pecan Technologies, a consulting and engineering company specialized in vehicle test benching (automobile, heavy trucks, industrial vehicles, agricultural vehicles), have joined their knowledge in an effort to offer an innovative solution which will change the way vehicles will undergo testing in the future. The "Plug & Drive" vehicle concept has allowed pushing further the limits in terms of instrumentation by integrating industrial wireless technology. The concept of « Plug & Drive» laboratory vehicle has allowed to push back the limits in terms of testbed vehicle instrumentation by integrating wireless technology.

Engine temperature and humidity monitoring Each BeanDevice® T-SI (wireless temperature measurement) and T-H (temperature & humidity measurement) allows to monitor engine behaviour while it goes though different test phases.

Vehicle brake system testing. Each BeanDevice® AN-420 coupled with a pressure measurement sensor 0-200 bar allows you to validate device such as ABS (Anti-lock braking system) & ESP (Electronic Stability Program) on a vehicle

Real time measurement monitoring. All measurements are recorded and stored on the BeanScape®. Each measurement is time stamped and geaolocated in real time within a 1Hz to 5Hz bandwidth It is therefore possible to efficiently analyse the behaviour of a vehicle and geolocate it when an alarm is being issued.
