EOSSY, Experts Offer for Safety SYstems
Paris, France – December 3, 2011
Eossy, a group of SMEs with great potential to work on projects in the Aeronautics Industries for embedded systems. The Eossy consortium offers expertise in safety systems by aiming to combine the strengths of the French SMEs together with academic partners and to better meet the offered projects in the Aeronautics Industries for embedded systems.
Created in 2011, the Eossy association was formed by an initiative taken by a group of SMEs and laboratories involved in the field of embedded systems and also who work or have worked on aerospace projects together.
At first, the group was formed to offer selling of products developed by the group and, secondly, it’s associated services for implementing applications in various fields. Eossy mainly focuses on facilitating communication between the group members and its clients. Thus, for each project, a single point of contact is designated by Eossy to drive the creation of a consortium agreement between the team members involved and the client.
Eossy, till date consists of the following companies: Altis (Design and production of integrated circuits), Arion Enterprise (Patented products for test equipment and products for embedded systems), BeanAir (Design & manufacture of Wireless Sensor Networks), DMAP (DO-254 certification package and related services), EISTI (International School for Information Processing), ENSEA (National School of Electronics and Applications), ENSTA Paris (National School for Advanced Technologies), HPC Project (Numerical simulation), Normal Inc.(Security Algorithms), RTaW (assistance in the design of secured systems), Scilab Enterprises (The service & development company on Scilab, free open source software for numerical computation) and SDI (Engineering tests & mechatronics).
The types of applications where the group is operating include critical on-board computers (development, prototyping, certification and more), modeling and simulation of flight, development and integration of actuators and more.
BeanAir’s Wireless Network Coordinator BeanGateway goes «PC-Less»
Paris, France – December 3, 2011
Paris, France – December 3, 2011 – BeanAir’s Wireless Network Coordinator BeanGateway now comes with an expandable external memory. The expandable Micro SD* slot present in the BeanGateway allows you to use the Micro SD* of your choice instead of a limited internal memory found in other devices that are available in the market. Now you can store all your measurements with your own Micro SD* and those measurements can be easily extracted. The BeanGateway can be used in remote areas by means of storing all your measurements in a Micro SD* memory card that can be easily inserted on your BeanGateway. There is no need for a PC to store your measurements!
* Micro SD is not provided with the default packaging

Paris, France
BeanAir introduces the all new BeanDevice Wireless Accelerometer “AX 3DS”. This new Wireless Accelerometer gives you unmatched Scalability, Speed and Supervision features when compared with many other Wireless Sensors available in the market. “Tracking Event” is the new measurement mode that has been implemented in the AX 3DS for a hassle free measurement observation. “Tracking Event” mode lets the device to wake up (during sleeping mode) when a shock event is detected and immediately starts sending the measurement data in real time to the BeanGateway. Moreover the measurement mode is user configurable: ±2g/±4g/±8g or ±6g/±12g/±24g. The Ultra-Low Power technology consumes only μA 28 in Sleep mode making this device highly suitable for Shock Measurement, Vibration Analysis, Remote Maintenance and more.
BeanAir now incorporates the "Network Listening Mode" to remotely configure your BeanDevices
BeanAir recently incorporated in its Wireless Sensor Network a new mode called the Network Listening Mode. When the device is in standby mode, the user can easily configure the device using the Network Listening Mode. By enabling the Network Listening Mode, the BeanDevice will check for a newer configuration based on a pre-assigned cycle by the user. OTAC (Over the Air Configuration) updates can now be easily assigned to all your BeanDevice anytime using the Network Listening Mode! This feature helps the end user to remotely maintain the devices without any human intervention.
Stay in touch with all your BeanDevices using BeanAir's "Survey mode"
BeanAir recently integrated the Survey mode in order to monitor all your devices. This enhanced mode lets user to know if the device is active or not. The device sends a beacon in order to confirm that the device is active. Survey Mode based on a Low Duty Transfer rate which in turn saves much of your device(s) battery. Altogether, the Survey Mode avoids any human intervention to monitor the device on site rather the user could simply see if the BeanDevices are active centrally using the BeanScape application.
BeanAir made simple customization of scripts for Wireless Sensor Networks
BeanAir's constant endeavour is to provide a full packaged solution for our customers. In that way, we offer Scilab Scripts for advanced users. Fully developed by BeanAir, these scripts integrates FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) and PPV (Peak Particle Velocity) algorithms for digital filtering on vibration & shocks signal measured by the BeanDevice® AX-3D (Wireless Tri-axial accelerometer). Essentially based on Scilab software tool (free open source application), customers can easily have an access to the source code of the scripts for a full customization. Scriptsare provided for free with a starter kit including the BeanDevice® AX-3D from SmartSensor product series. By providing the scripts as an add-on with the BeanScape application, the measurement log files could be digitally processed and a spectrum could be obtained or the amplitude and the frequency could be determined.
